Could This Be Why Nobody’s Contacting You On LinkedIn?

Last week on, “Ask JT Anything” a viewer asked me what she could do to make her LinkedIn profile stand out so people (especially, recruiters), would contact her.

No Keywords = No Profile Views

The biggest mistake people make on LinkedIn when it comes to standing out is not optimizing their profiles with the right keywords. [To understand what I mean, you canwatch this quick video where I explain how it works.]

LinkedIn is a search engine. Just like Google, you need to put specific words in to help narrow your search. For example, a recruiter will type in, “Project Management” and  few other relevant keywords to find someone with that skill set. Thus, if you don’t put the right quality and quantity of keywords in your LinkedIn profile, you don’t come up in people’s search results – it’s that simple.
